Our internship orientation takes place at our office in Princeton, New Jersey, where you will meet the firm and your team leaders. Topics covered include:
- Introduction to firm departments and services offered
- Accounting software applications and usage
- Audit procedures and preparation of work papers
- Financial statement preparation
- Tax return and extension preparation
Your training begins on day one, and continues throughout your time at Lear & Pannepacker, where you will receive continual feedback and support from the accounting staff members who will be supervising and working with you. Someone will always be there to answer your questions in a constructive and supportive manner. Your team leader will be with you every step of the way, allowing you to begin developing a relationship with this person as a mentor and resource. You will be welcomed as a full-fledged member of the team, and never “just left on your own”. Many of our interns have gone on to join our team full-time!
